Training Fellowships
Venkat Charmalaya offers training in hair transplantation to interested doctors. It is recognized by Association of hair restoration surgeons and association of cutaneus surgeons( India). 2 WEEKS HAIR TRANSPLANTATION FELLOWSHIP
The fellowship program will consist of both observation and assisting at the operating table in selected stages of surgery. Since this is a cosmetic surgery and our patients are all private paying patients, student will not be allowed to handle the patient independently at any time. Patients privacy , patients rights, and patient’s interest will be kept upper most . Any procedure in which the trainee has to participate, prior permission will be sought from the patient. Patient interest and medicolegal aspects will govern the involvement of trainee in all cases.
It is advised that the student read the available material on the internet thoroughly. The teaching will be didactic and will consist of questions and answers .No formal lectures will be taken.We generally have surgery almost daily, however this can not always be predicted and guaranteed. So it is possible that there may not be any surgeries on certain days. The opportunities for the trainee also depends on requirements of a given case. Discretion of the senior doctor will be final in all such matters.

This is a tentative schedule, while we will try to adhere to this schedule, it may not always be possible to do so on all days and hence variations may happen .
Day 1: Discussion: Introduction to Hair transplantation basic, overview of surgery

Day 4: Discussion of specific problems: anaesthesia, donor dissection.

Day 5: Discussion of specific problems: density, methods of insertion.

Day 6: Discussion of Specific problems; complications
